Approached by our Client, we were asked to provide a new community Parish Hall on the site of an existing out dated facility on a restrictive site adjacent to the existing
RC church dating from 1927.
Work started with a presentation to a church full of parishioners, which was closely followed by a Feasibility study and Planning submission. Work started in 2004 and the building was completed in early autumn 2005.
The main hall of the new parish centre includes large glazed windows with views towards the existing church, a soundproof partitioning system allowing flexibility by allowing separation into two smaller halls. At the rear of the main hall a raised first floor area provided additional storage and a balcony area overlooking the hall. Additional facilities included a semi-domestic kitchen, a small meeting room,
WC provisions, plant and much needed storage areas.
