Access Keys

We have provided access keys as an alternative means to navigate our site without the use of a mouse. Unfortunately, there is no standard key sequence used between different OS and browsers, so below we have listed the sequences for popular OS and browsers.

PC Windows Versions of :
Chrome 13, Firefox 1, Internet Explorer 4 & Safari 5 :
Press ALT & Access Key.

PC Windows Versions of :
Internet Explorer 5 to 9 :
ALT & Access Key, then Return.

PC Windows & Linux Versions of :
Firefox 2 to 6 :
SHIFT, ALT & Access Key.

PC Windows, Linux & Apple Mac Versions of :
Opera 9 to 11 :
SHIFT & ESC to display key list, then the required Access Key.

Apple Mac Versions of :
Chrome 13 & Safari 4 to 5 :

The Access Keys used on this site are loosely based on the UK Government's recommendation for access keys with some adaption and the inclusion of additional keys to assist with site specific functions.

Where images are important to the site these have been provided with ALT tags. However where images are solely to aid the layout of the site these have been left intentionally blank.

You can increase the size of the text on the pages of our website by adjusting the text size in your web browser. Guidance for the most common browsers and computer platforms are given below.

Press CTRL and + or - to zoom in or out.

For PC Windows Versions of :
Opera 9 to 11 :
Press + or - to zoom in or out.

For Apple Mac Versions of :
Chrome 13, Firefox 3 to 6, Opera 9 to 11 & Safari 3 to 5 :
Press CMD and + or - to zoom in or out.

Alternatively, font sizes may be adjusted by pressing the CTRL key and moving the scroller wheeler on the mouse (where supported).
