Located near the eastern entrance to Dunstable, the building creates a landmark focal point signalling the entrance of the town centre.
Completed in 2015 the development consists of 83 independent living flats for older persons with communal rooms, support facilities and retail units at ground floor level. The communal facilities range from health and beauty centres to hobby rooms and restaurants, that are open to both the residents and the local community.
The building maximises natural light throughout the building and exploits veiws from upper storeys across the nearby Downs.
The Building was the first development undertaken by Central Bedfordshire Council for decades.
In 2017, Priory View won the Pinders Award for best independent living schemeand Best residential Building at the Bedfordshire Assocation of Architects design awards.
